THESE POEMS ARE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN TAXED OR WEIGHED DOWN BY FRIENDS. SO THEY WON'T BE SUITED TO EVERYONE.

HOWEVER, REPORTS ARE COMING FROM SOME WHO CAN RELATE WITH THEM, HOW MUCH LIGHTER  THEY FELT AFTER READING THEM.

SO IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE, I DON'T WISH TO UPSET YOU - OTHER PAGES WOULD BE BETTER FOR YOU.

PAGES THAT ARE COLOR-CODED WITH RED PRINT AT THE TOP - THEY ARE NOT MEANT FOR YOU. THESE PAGES ARE TO RELEASE PRESSURE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN LIVING WITH FRIEND'S DEMANDS. THE PAGES WITH BLUE PRINT MAY BE FOR YOU, THEY ARE GENTLE AND MILDER. CONCERNING FRIENDSHIPS, I WISH TO HELP CHRISTIANS IN DIFFERENT WAYS.

Making My Choices Now

Some friends have really blessed me

Some others have caused me grief.

I’m calling the cards now so they can’t play hide and seek.

Yes some have brought me joy and some have brought me pain.

Until I saw the light, I’m precious in God’s eyes.

Most times they just thought of themselves

And left me on a shelf.

I don’t care if they make it or not

Now I have confidence, lots.

If they don’t get their act together

Jesus give me friends in good measure

To the ones I had who made me feel bad.

I’ve seen the Enemy’s ploys

For taking away my joy.

I’m so much wiser now

I’ve taken to the trowel

Weeding those who are lax

I’m giving them the sack.

If they don’t choose to be better

I’m still His Treasure.

Yes I am confident Now!

Time To Decide My Friend

Some friendships are worth redeeming, some are not

I’m not sure which you are.

This one thing I know, I’m off to a new start

Even if friendships must part.

It’s really up to you what you choose

I’m not one for feeling blue.

Your habits have pressed me into a mold

I don’t wish to be in, it isn’t me.

Questions were always up in the air

Concerning your interest, how much you care.

For months I’ve been getting mixed messages

Your words said one thing, your actions said another.

Wishing me well, followed by unanswered texts and calls

Round in circles and then you’d call.

I feel like I’m putting more effort in

To a friendship that is slack.

You call when it suits – you spare some time

Yet seldom answer the line.

I surely would not remiss.

If you decided it’s too much to change your ways

my kindness to repay.

So now it’s up to you, I wonder what you will choose.

I remember better times we had

That made both of us glad.

If you are not wiser now

I’ve chosen this way for myself.

Friendships have certain expectations

They must be comfortable or I am lost

However I am not lost now but found.

I found my way out of the maze

In which I don’t wish to stay.

Sometimes I gave hints and made an appeal

My feelings can no-more be concealed.

I’ve found my refuge in God

From this path that I have trod.

I feel like a bird set free

to fly over land and see

no longer to be held down

by those who make me frown.

My friendship is to be valued not spent

- That causes me relent.

If you appreciate where I stand

We’ll place things in God’s hands.

If not, I think you’re not sure what you want

I’m living a different story.

Some People

Some people can muck you around

Even if you’re the best in town

They don’t know what they want

They can affect your confidence lots

You could be the best in town

They really make you frown.

So if we’re not what they wish us to be

It isn’t you, it isn’t me.

What do You want in a friend?

To those your friendship lend.

Break free of company you’re better without

This will make you laugh and shout.

I’m free, I’m free, I feel so free

From the cloud that was over me.

Not sure sometimes if I was accepted

My joys in life this intercepted.

And that’s not fair, they just don’t care

As long as they get what they want.

I’m off to a New Day, I’ll find my way

Where I sing my songs, I have my say.

Yes life make way for me!

Choose Company Wisely

Some friendships are a drag

They make your spirit sag.

They share their problems time after time

Even when the weather’s fine.

When you’re joyful they’re not

They just don’t stop

Sharing complaint after complaint

And in those problems remain.

If they don’t want to change their tune

And insist on making you blue.

They’re not ready for company

At-least not yours or mine.

Be Free.

This Poem could make some of you a little wiser

so you can keep Good Friends:)

You Will Be Happier and Healthier

A Few Lines Of Friendly Advice

Don’t live by your friends choices. Make some of your own and stay

with those who make you feel good. Life’s too short for spending it

with the wrong people. Come against friendships that are lax and

teach them not to be slack. Maybe see them less often and answer

their texts less or wait before you respond. Human nature being

what it is, they may respect you more.

ALSO

Poor quality friendships can have a pull on your spiritual life

- especially if they are Christians, because of the deep questions it raises.

This affects your prayer-life as well. It simply isn't worth all

the energy it saps - Mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Statistics now show that more people are experiencing Health Issues

due to Stressful Friendships than Family Stress. I suppose that's because

in a Family, we know their love is genuine, despite any issues and we know

what to expect. With Friends often, there can be an element of uncertainty.

I Wish You All Well.

What My Readers Are Saying

Words are powerful, be careful what you say. Many people will walk in and out of your life but only good friends will leave footprints on your heart. Do unto others what you would have them do unto you. Thank you Janet.
